We at Val Verde Christian Academy are seeking to be used of God to help you prepare your children for the years to come. The educational future of your children will depend on the basics that he or she is taught in the earliest years of school. The Bible gives the guidance for us in Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it”

The task of educating a child in our society is not an easy one. Training must begin in the home, continue in the church, and be reinforced in the school.

Val Verde Christian Academy is a place where respect and responsibility are taught and practiced. Children study in an atmosphere where learning and character development are enhanced. We believe the best education teaches both academic excellence and Christian values.

Our commitment to academic excellence throughout all grades is evidenced by the performance of each student. Standardized testing will be used in appropriate grade levels to highlight the student’s academic growth each year.

For our students, we choose curriculum which places a strong emphasis on phonics, reading comprehension, history, science, and mathematics. Students also have the opportunity to participate in regular music classes and physical education classes as a part of their weekly curriculum.

Our program includes a strong, college preparatory curriculum, with additional coursework available in music, speech, computer skills, and other disciplines.

The best of up-to-date teaching methods and materials will be utilized. Close personal supervision will be given each student. Mastery of subject matter and application of principles will be the ends to which every teacher teaches. All students will be given a grade that is earned, and promotion to each succeeding grade will come only when the child has done passing work.

Our Belief

At VVCA we realize that our ultimate goal as a school is to glorify God. We believe we can do this by making the Gospel of Jesus Christ a priority in our school. Each student will be taught that God is our Creator, man has sinned against God, and that salvation is available through Jesus Christ.

We also believe that God is pleased with a high level of academic excellence. 2 Timothy 2:15, “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” We are committed to offering a first-rate education by keeping high expectations for the students, using the best Christian curriculum available, and hiring qualified teachers.

Our Desire

Our desire is to assist the parents in training children in personal responsibility and character. We believe that it is important to not only teach the children academic facts but to teach them character and integrity. We do this by requiring obedience and promptness and by teaching them the Bible on a daily basis.

We desire that every graduate of VVCA know Jesus Christ as their Savior, have an excellent education that will support them wherever they continue their education, and have an attitude that is honoring to both God and their families.
